Daniel Davis is a professor of immunology at the University of Manchester (UK). He pioneered using imaging techniques to help visualize key molecular components of an immune response, and his work has helped establish new concepts in how immune cells communicate with each other and how they detect disease. Discover magazine named Davis’s research one of the top 100 breakthroughs of the year. His book, The Beautiful Cure, was a 2018 Book of the Year in TheTimes (UK), The Telegraph, and New Scientist. Davis has also published over 130 academic papers, collectively cited over 11,000 times, including articles in Nature, Science, and Scientific American.
