Daniel Humm is founder, owner, and chef of Make It Nice, the New York-based hospitality group behind Eleven Madison Park. He and a business partner purchased the restaurant in 2011, after he’d been executive chef for five years. Through Make It Nice, Humm has opened NoMad, Made Nice, and Davies and Brook in London. He moved to San Francisco from his native Switzerland in 2003 to become executive chef at Campton Place. Having earned his first Michelin star at age 24, Humm and Eleven Madison Park have received numerous accolades including the No. 1 spot on the 2017 World’s Best Restaurants list. Author of four books, he co-founded Rethink Food, a nonprofit aimed at creating a more equitable, sustainable food system.
