David Aguilar

David Aguilar is founder and CEO of Aspen Skies Corporation. A naturalist and astronomer, he currently consults for Science Channel’s “NASA’s Unexplained Files.” In 2015, he completed a 14-year tenure as media and science education director at Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, and he directed NASA’s New Horizons media team on the Pluto flyby mission. Aguilar was previously director of Fiske Planetarium and founder of University of Colorado Boulder’s Science Discovery Program, marketing communications director at Ball Aerospace, and marketing director for the PBS series “Evolution.” He wrote and illustrated ten National Geographic and Random House kids books on space. Asteroid 1990DA has been designated in honor of his work.
