David Bierman is the co-founder and chief commercial officer of Antora Energy, working toward zero-emissions industrial heat and power via thermal batteries that convert intermittent renewable electricity into reliable industrial energy. Prior to this, he founded thermal-energy storage startup Marigold Power. Bierman earned his doctorate in mechanical engineering from MIT, where he developed a novel solid-state energy converter and a variety of thermal storage concepts. His work has appeared in Scientific American, MIT Technology Review and IEEE Spectrum, among other publications.
