David Leonhardt
Op-Ed Columnist, The New York Times
David Leonhardt is an op-ed columnist at The New York Times, where he writes a daily e-mail newsletter and co-hosts a weekly podcast, “The Argument.” He was previously the Times’s Washington bureau chief, the founding editor of The Upshot section covering politics and policy, and the head of an internal team advising senior management on the newspaper’s digital future. He has also worked for Business Week and The Washington Post. In 2011, Leonhardt won the Pulitzer Prize for commentary for his columns on the financial crisis and its aftermath. He has served on the jury of the Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence.
