David Leuschen is co-founder and senior managing director of Riverstone Holdings, a private equity firm focused on growth capital investments in the energy and power sectors. Previously, he was a partner and managing director at Goldman Sachs, founder and head of its Global Energy and Power Group, and chairman of the Goldman Sachs Energy Investment Committee, responsible for screening potential investments in the energy and power industry. Leuschen also owns Switchback Ranch, a commercial beef operation and dude ranch in Wyoming, and has several ski industry investments, including an ownership stake in Big Sky Investment Holdings and co-ownership of a summer ski race camp. A board member of several private Riverstone portfolio companies, he’s also an executive committee member of the US Olympic and Paralympic Foundation.
