David McWilliams is an economist, author, journalist, documentary filmmaker, and broadcaster. He is an adjunct professor of global economics at Trinity College Dublin School of Business, writes a weekly economics column in the Irish Times, and founded an economics and stand-up comedy festival, Kilkenomics. Previously, McWilliams was a strategist at hedge fund Rockwest Capital. He began his career as an economist at the Central Bank of Ireland, UBS in London, and Banque Nationale de Paris. McWilliams has written five best-sellers, including The Pope’s Children, which spent 52 weeks on Ireland’s nonfiction best-sellers’ list. He has been named World Economic Forum Young Global Leader and Ireland’s most influential Twitter user in 2016.
