Deborah Arnott
Chief Executive, Action on Smoking and Health
Deborah Arnott is chief executive of the UK campaigning charity Action on Smoking and Health, an honorary associate professor at the University of Nottingham Division of Epidemiology and Public Health, an Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, and a member of RCP’s Tobacco Advisory Group. A tobacco control expert, Arnott has been on several National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) committees developing guidelines on tobacco and behavior change and sits on NICE’s panel of expert advisors. She was on the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency’s advisory committee on e-cigarettes and received the Faculty of Public Health’s 2007 Alwyn Smith prize for her outstanding contribution to public health.
