DeMar DeRozan is a basketball player with the NBA’s San Antonio Spurs, which he joined in 2018. He previously spent nine seasons with the Toronto Raptors and played college basketball at University of Southern California. DeRozan is a four-time NBA All-Star and two-time All-NBA team member. He won gold medals with the US men’s national basketball team in the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup and 2016 Summer Olympics. A spokesman for Lupus Canada, he helps bring awareness to the autoimmune disease his mother was diagnosed with. DeRozan has been open about his struggles with depression, publicly sharing his experiences to build awareness and spotlight the importance of mental health and well-being.
