Donald Warne is associate dean for diversity, equity, and inclusion at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine & Health Sciences. He also directs the Indians Into Medicine (INMED) program and Master of Public Health program and is a professor of family and community medicine. Warne, an Oglala Lakota, is one of two American Indians to be a medical school associate dean. Previous positions include chair of the Public Health Department at North Dakota State University, director of the Office of Native American Health at Sanford Health, executive director of the Great Plains Tribal Chairmen’s Health Board, and health policy research director of the Inter Tribal Council of Arizona.
