Eddie Glaude is the James S. McDonnell Distinguished University Professor of African American Studies at Princeton University, where he was inaugural chair of the department for more than 14 years. Previously, he was president of the American Academy of Religion. Glaude’s most recent book is “We Are the Leaders We Have Been Looking For”; other titles about Black communities and race include “Begin Again: James Baldwin’s America and Its Urgent Lessons for our Own” and “Democracy in Black: How Race Still Enslaves the American Soul.” A member of the Morehouse College Board of Trustees, he is a columnist for TIME Magazine and an MSNBC contributor on programs like “Morning Joe” and “Deadline: White House” with Nicolle Wallace.
