Emily Stengel is the co-founder and co-executive director of GreenWave, a nonprofit that replicates and scales regenerative ocean farming. With a background in sustainable business management and agricultural research, she oversees the organization’s growth and development strategies. Winner of the 2021 Curt Bergfors Food Planet Prize, GreenWave’s work has been featured by “60 Minutes,” CNN, BBC, and The New Yorker, among others. Stengel’s insights on regenerative ocean farming were included in All We Can Save, an anthology featuring women in the climate movement. She has a master’s degree in community development and applied economics from the University of Vermont.
