A former corporate lawyer, Aird was in private practice and served as legal counsel to predecessor entities of Time Warner and Viacom. An activist mother, she founded and directed Mothers for a Human Future, worked at the Children’s Defense Fund, and chaired Connecticut’s Commission on Children.
