Erik Stegman
Executive Director, Center for Native American Youth, The Aspen Institute
Erik Stegman is executive director at the Center for Native American Youth at the Aspen Institute. A member of the Carry the Kettle First Nation (Nakoda) of Saskatchewan, Canada, he previously led field outreach and advocacy for the Poverty to Prosperity program at the Center for American Progress. From 2011 to 2012, Stegman served as majority counsel for the US Senate Committee on Indian Affairs, and in 2011 he served in the Obama administration as a policy advisor at the US Department of Education. He began his career as a program manager at the Policy Research Center of the National Congress of American Indians.
