Esethu Cenga is co-founder and CEO of Rewoven, a start-up that seeks to divert textile waste from landfills and extend the lifecycle of those garments by facilitating reuse and recycling of fibers. She also co-founded Future of Fashion Indaba, an annual fashion symposium in Cape Town providing a platform for clothing industry stakeholders to learn and share solutions to help develop a thriving, ethical African fashion industry. Cenga is the inaugural winner of the Aanit Prize for African Entrepreneurship, the Mandela Rhodes Foundation’s award for social impact, and a Mandela Rhodes Scholar. Named one of the Mail & Guardian’s Top 200 Young South Africans in 2020, she earned herMaster of Commerce in economic development at University of Cape Town in 2019.
