Co-Founder, Opus12

Etosha Cave is a co-founder of Opus 12, a start-up that uses metal catalysts and renewable electricity to recycle CO2 into higher-value products for Earth and someday for Mars. She has put together a team of 16 people at Opus 12, which has received grants from NASA, the Department of Energy, and the National Science Foundation and has been accepted into incubators and organizations including the Elemental Excelerator, Breakout Labs, Stanford’s StartX, and Echoing Green. Cave received her PhD in 2014 from Stanford University, where she gained the foundational knowledge for this technology. Prior to Stanford, she worked at the McMurdo Research Station in Antarctica.
