Fletcher Harper is executive director of GreenFaith, where he oversees the organization’s religious-environmental activism in Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Previously, Harper co-founded Shine, a campaign supporting women and community-led, renewable-energy access initiatives in Africa and India. Prior to that, he co-founded Interfaith Rainforest Initiative, which equips and mobilizes religious communities to protect tropical forests in Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Indonesia, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. A pioneer of the global religious environmental movement who helped lead the faith-based fossil fuel divestment movement and organized faith turnouts at major climate mobilizations, Harper is the author of GreenFaith: Mobilizing God’s People to Protect the Earth.
