Francis Cuss

Francis Cuss is chief scientific officer for Bristol-Myers Squibb and a member of the company’s leadership team. He joined Bristol-Myers Squibb in 2003 as senior vice president of drug discovery, took over additional responsibility for the discovery and exploratory development of potential new medicines in 2006, began overseeing all research functions in 2010, and became CSO in 2013. Cuss previously spent 14 years at Schering-Plough and three years at Glaxo, where his career included leadership roles in discovery, clinical research, and medical affairs in the United States and Europe. Before that, he was a practicing physician. He has published numerous articles and book chapters on topics of medical interest. (Festival Underwriter Presenter)
