Gary Reedy is CEO of the American Cancer Society, since 2015. He joined the organization in 2000 as a trustee of the former American Cancer Society Foundation and worked as a volunteer leader. Previously, Reedy was worldwide vice president of government affairs and policy at Johnson & Johnson, where earlier he was president of Ortho Biotech. He also held senior leadership positions with SmithKline Beecham and Centocor. A past chair of the society’s board and Cancer Action Network board, his current service includes the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, Tobacco-Free Kids Action Fund, National Health Council, and Research America. Reedy was a charter member of the CEO Roundtable on Cancer.
