Gecheng Zha is the founder and president of CoFlow Jet. He is also a professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering at University of Miami, where he directs the Aerodynamics and Aerodynamics and Computational Fluid Dynamics Lab. Zha is the inventor and originator of the coflow jet airfoil-control concept. His current focus is applying the CoFlow Jet to rigid wind sails to reduce the fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions of cargo ships. An ASME fellow, AIAA associate fellow, and NASA NIAC fellow, Zha is a Stanford-ranked World Top 2 Percent scientist.
