George Smith is president and CEO of Legacy Libations Corp., chief visionary and brand ambassador for Copper Barrel Distillery, and chairman of the Key City Spirits consortium. Previously, he worked for IBM for almost 20 years before becoming a “multipreneur.” A supporter of local businesses, Smith was recognized by the North Carolina Department of Commerce as a North Carolina Main Street Champion for his dedication to the downtown revitalization of North Wilkesboro and neighboring communities. He is an active member of the Downtown North Wilkesboro Partnership and the Piedmont Culinary Guild and serves as a director at large for the Wilkes County Economic Development Corporation.
