Heather Roff is a senior research fellow in the Politics and International Relations Department at University of Oxford, research scientist at Arizona State University’s Global Security Initiative, associate research fellow at University of Cambridge’s Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence, and a research fellow at New America in the Cybersecurity Initiative and Future of War Project. She is working on projects related to the ethics of artificial intelligence for Google Deepmind. Roff, who has provided expert testimony on autonomous weapons to the UN and other agencies, authored Global Justice, Kant and the Responsibility to Protect, as well as numerous scholarly articles and pieces for popular media.
