Imran Amed is founder, CEO and editor in chief of The Business of Fashion, a media company and global authority on the fashion, luxury and beauty industries that serves 100,000 paying members and more than 1 million email subscribers. He started it as a blog about the fashion business in 2007, and soon thereafter was reaching thousands of readers through The Daily Digest email newsletter. Previously, Amed was a management consultant at McKinsey & Co. He has an MBA from Harvard Business School and an honorary doctorate from University of the Arts London Central Saint Martins College. In 2017, Amed was appointed by Queen Elizabeth II as Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for services to the fashion industry.
