Imran Khan is head of public engagement for the Wellcome Trust, leading the health research foundation’s efforts in involving the public in its mission. Before joining Wellcome in 2016, he was chief executive of the British Science Association and director of the Campaign for Science and Engineering, an advocacy group. Khan has worked as a science writer and a political researcher in the UK Parliament House of Commons. He also serves as a council member for the Natural Environment Research Council, the United Kingdom’s environmental science funder, and is a trustee of the innovation foundation Nesta and Practical Action, an international development organization that uses technology to fight poverty.
