Ines Polonius is CEO of Communities Unlimited, a CDFI and community economic development organization in the rural South working with local leaders to create fair access to the resources needed to sustain healthy communities, businesses, and families from Texas to Tennessee. Previously, she founded alt.Consulting in 1998, which merged with Community Resource Group in 2014 to form Communities Unlimited. Polonius serves on the board of directors of the Rural Community Assistance Partnership and the Association for Enterprise Opportunity. She is a 2017 BALLE Fellow and a member of the Rural Development Innovation Group, the Persistent Poverty Working Group, and the national WealthWorks network.
