Jamie Ford is the author of Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet, which spent over two years on the New York Times bestseller list and won the 2010 Asian/Pacific American Award for Literature. His other novels are Songs of Willow Frost, Love and Other Consolation Prizes, and The Many Daughters of Afong Moy. A self-taught writer, Ford’s work has been translated into 35 languages. He holds fellowships from Yaddo, Ragdale, and Ucross. Ford’s honors include the 2018 ArtsFund Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Arts, being named Historian of the Year by Historic Hotels of America, and being chosen for World Book Night 2014, where he donated 50,000 books to underserved communities.
