Jamila Norman is an urban farmer and the owner of Patchwork City Farms. Norman hosts the Magnolia Network show "Homegrown," where she helps families transform their outdoor spaces into backyard farms. Norman is a founder and the manager of South West Atlanta Growers Cooperative of Black, urban farmers. Previously, she was a 2014 U.S. delegate to Slow Food’s Terra Madre Salone del Gusto in Turin, Italy. Norman and her farm have been featured in Time, The New York Times, Modern Farmer, Library of Congress and the Southern Foodways Alliance oral history project. She has also been a featured guest on CNN, “The Drew Barrymore Show” and “Today.” Norman’s recognition includes being named to the Cherry Bombe 100 list of inspirational women in the culinary world.
