Jane Coaston is the host of “The Argument” podcast and an opinion writer for The New York Times. Previously, she was the senior politics reporter at Vox Media, focusing on conservatism and the GOP. Prior to this, Coaston was a political reporter for MTV Networks and a writer for Human Rights Campaign. She started her journalism career at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Her work has appeared on MSNBC, CNN, and NPR and in National Review, The Washington Post, and ESPN Magazine, among others. Coaston is a former resident fellow at the University of Chicago’s Institute of Politics.
