Janessa Goldbeck is the CEO of Vet Voice Foundation, a national nonprofit that advocates for veterans and military families to actively participate in American democracy. She was previously the founding principal of Sui Generis Strategies, a consulting firm focused on legislative priorities, and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. As a combat engineer officer, Goldbeck led missions overseas and supported service members as a uniformed victim advocate. She also challenged the military’s exclusion of women in combat roles, contributing to the policy’s repeal. Prior to the military, Goldbeck worked as a human rights advocate at the Genocide Intervention Network, leading efforts to protect civilians in conflict zones. She serves on numerous boards emphasizing security, equality and community engagement.
