Jeff Jarvis is director of the Tow-Knight Center for Entrepreneurial Journalismat City University of New York and an executive committee member of the News Integrity Initiative, which supports news literacy and journalistic efforts around the world. A leader in the development of online news, blogging, and investigation of news business models, Jarvis has consulted for many media companies, was president of the online arm of Advance Publications (which includes Condé Nast magazines and several newspapers), and was founding managing editor of Entertainment Weekly. He’s authored several books, including Geeks Bearing Gifts and What Would Google Do?. Jarvis blogs about media at Buzzmachine.com and co-hosts the podcast “This Week in Google.”
