Jen Welter is an American football coach. Most recently a defensive specialist for the Alliance of American Football’s Atlanta Legends, she was head coach of Australia’s first women’s national team and the NFL’s first female coach, working with the Arizona Cardinals in 2015. Welter previously had a 14-year career in women’s professional football, including four World Championships, two gold medals as a member of Team USA, and eight all-star selections. Inducted into the Women’s Football Hall of Fame in 2018, she authored Play Big: Lessons in Being Limitless from the First Woman to Coach in the NFL and is committed to increasing access and opportunities in football through several initiatives.
