Joan Biskupic is a legal analyst for CNN, since 2017. She has covered the Supreme Court for 25 years. Previously, Biskupic was a visiting professor at University of California, Irvine’s law school, editor-in-charge for legal affairs at Reuters, and the Supreme Court correspondent for The Washington Post and for USA Today. She is the author of, most recently, a biography of Chief Justice John Roberts: The Chief. Previous books include Sandra Day O’Connor; American Original: The Life and Constitution of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia; and Breaking In: The Rise of Sonia Sotomayor and the Politics of Justice. Biskupic was a finalist for the 2015 Pulitzer Prize in Explanatory Journalism.
