Joanne Lipman is a journalist and author. An on-air CNBC contributor and Yale University journalism lecturer, her books are Next! The Power of Reinvention in Life and That’s What She Said: What Men and Women Need to Know About Working Together. Previously, Lipman was senior vice president and chief content officer of Gannett and then editor in chief of USA Today and the USA Today Network. Prior to this, she was founding editor in chief of Portfolio magazine and Portfolio.com. Lipman began her career reporting for The Wall Street Journal, ultimately becoming its first woman deputy managing editor and supervising coverage that won three Pulitzer Prizes. Her recognition includes the Matrix Award from New York Women in Communications.
