John Hall is associate vice president and Texas state director for clean energy at the Environmental Defense Fund. He has extensive experience in environmental, energy, and water problem-solving in Texas, including having held positions as project manager of the Port Arthur Environmental Justice Initiative and executive director of the Texas Environmental Research Consortium. Hall has been a consultant to the City of Houston, Austin Energy, the Port of Houston Authority, and the Lower Colorado River Authority Power Plant Permitting Project, among others. He has served as chairman of the Texas Water Commission and the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission and as deputy commissioner of the Texas General Land Office.
