John Lichtenberger is an assistant professor of radiology at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) and service chief for the 3D Medical Applications Center at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. A medical doctor, he has worked as a cardiothoracic radiologist at David Grant Medical Center on Travis Air Force Base in California, where he did his residency training. Lichtenberger also did a fellowship in thoracic and cardiac imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital. He has written numerous peer-reviewed publications and has contributed as an author of several books, most notably Diagnostic Imaging: Chest (second edition) and Diagnostic Imaging: Cardiovascular (second edition).
