John Marshall is the founder and CEO of Potential Energy Coalition, a nonpartisan, nonprofit coalition of creative, analytic and media agencies aiming to shift the conversation on climate change. He is also a marketing professor at Dartmouth College and senior adviser to Lippincott. Prior to this, Marshall was chief strategy and innovation officer at Lippincott. Previously, he was president of The Princeton Review and, before that, global head of strategy and analytics at Digitas. Earlier in his career, Marshall was a partner with Oliver Wyman consulting firm. His 2021 Ted Talk concerns how to effectively communicate climate change. A chartered financial analyst, Marshall’s commentary on marketing, growth and innovation have appeared in the Harvard Business Review, Forbes, and Wired, among other publications.
