John Morales is the founder and lead certified consulting meteorologist at ClimaData Corporation, specializing in forensic meteorology and weather consulting. He is also the hurricane specialist at NBC 6 in Miami and a climate change columnist for the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists. Previously, Morales was a forecaster for NOAA’s National Weather Service and a certified consulting and certified broadcast meteorologist. He is a trustee at Cornell University, where he is a member of the Atkinson Center for Sustainability and College of Agriculture and Life Sciences external advisory boards. Morales is also board vice chair of Florida’s CLEO Institute. He is a member of the American Meteorological Society and the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Silver Circle.
