John Podesta
Senior Advisor, Clean Energy Innovation and Implementation, White House Office of Domestic Climate Policy
John Podesta is the senior advisor to President Biden for clean energy innovation and implementation in the White House Office of Domestic Climate Policy. He is also a visiting professor of law at Georgetown University Law Center. Prior to this, Podesta chaired Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign. Previously, he was counselor to President Obama, responsible for coordinating climate policy and initiatives. Podesta was also a member of the UN secretary general’s High-Level Panel of Eminent Persons on the Post-2015 Development Agenda. Earlier in his career, he co-chaired President Obama’s transition team and was White House chief of staff to President Clinton. Podesta is the founder and former chair of both the Center for American Progress and Washington Center for Equitable Growth.
