Jonathan Palmer is associate general counsel for litigation at Microsoft’s department of corporate, external, and legal affairs where he focuses on antitrust and complex commercial litigation, regulatory investigations, and cross-border disputes. His responsibilities also include advising the company on legal issues related to e-discovery, information governance, and government access to customer data. Prior to joining Microsoft, Palmer was a litigation partner at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, and before that, at Heller Ehrman. From 2005 to 2008 he was based in Asia, where he managed Heller Ehrman’s offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, Beijing, and Shanghai. Palmer serves on the board of directors of Lawyers for Civil Justice.
