Jorge Guajardo is a partner at Dentons Global Advisors, an independent strategic advisory firm. He was previously a senior director at McLarty Associates. From 2007 to 2013, Guajardo was Mexico’s ambassador to China, during which time he visited every province and established close relations with China’s business community. He served as consul general for Mexico in Austin, Texas, from 2005 to 2007. Prior to that, he was communications director and press secretary for the governor of the Mexican state of Nuevo Leon. Guajardo has also worked for the public relations firms Hill + Knowlton and Burson-Marsteller in Washington, DC. Throughout his career he has been involved in presidential campaigns and electoral politics in Mexico.
