Jose Corona is director of equity and strategic partnerships for the office of Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf. As senior advisor to the mayor, he is responsible for creating and facilitating public-private partnerships that foster equitable opportunities and benefits for the people of Oakland. he is also a staff member of the Oakland Fund for Public Innovation. Previously, Corona was CEO of ICA/FundGoodJobs for ten years. An Aspen Institute Quality Jobs Fellow, he serves on the boards of ICA/Fund Good Jobs, BALLE, and The Unity Council. In 2017, Planetizen named him one of the country’s Top 100 Most Influential Urbanists. Corona is participating in the Aspen Ideas Festival as a 2019 Scholar.
