José Opazo is founder and CEO of Ciudad Luz, a solar energy company that is building the solar PV-distributed generation market in Chile and Latin America. He is also director of the Master in Innovation program at Universidad Adolfo Ibañez Business School in Santiago, Chile, where he has lectured and researched on sustainability, innovation, and entrepreneurship and directed the Center for Business Sustainability. With over 20 years of experience, Opazo’s interests embrace sustainable energy futures, sustainable system innovation, and low-carbon development. He has been a sustainability advisor, policy researcher for the nonprofit climate group, and program assistant on energy and the environment at the UN Development Program. He has a PhD in science and technology innovation from University of Sussex.
