Josh Katz is a partner at McKinsey & Company in its Stamford, Connecticut, office. A core member of the agriculture practice, he is a leader in McKinsey’s agriculture knowledge efforts, with specific focus on sustainability including decarbonization of agriculture production, climate risk, and alternative proteins. Primarily serving agribusiness companies and investors but also public sector clients and major foundations, he supports Fortune 500 agriculture companies on long-term strategies, institutional investors on thematic-investing strategy in the agriculture and food space, and agriculture start-ups and growth-stage companies with business plans. Prior to McKinsey, Katz was an investment analyst developing water-sector strategy at a venture fund in Cambodia. He also previously worked for an association of US businesses in Africa and a boutique consulting firm.
