Shapiro’s career in public service includes chairing the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency. As chairman of the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners, he led a fiscal turnaround, helped the first LGBT couples in Pennsylvania marry, protected voting rights, and fired Wall Street money managers.
