Julie Cordua is CEO of Thorn, an organization she co-founded in 2012 to build technology to defend children from sexual abuse. Under her leadership, Thorn has created products and programs in 30 countries, reached more than three million people, and helped identify more than 30,000 victims of abuse. She came to Thorn from (RED), where she was vice president of marketing and communications and which delivered more than $160 million to fight AIDS in Africa. Prior to joining (RED), Cordua spent nearly a decade in the wireless industry, as senior director of marketing for Helio, global marketing director for Motorola, and doing public relations at Hill + Knowlton.
