Kari Mailloux
Program Officer, Hutchinson Community Foundation (KS)
Kari Mailloux is program officer at the Hutchinson Community Foundation, responsible for researching and analyzing community needs and creating grantmaking and strategic initiative opportunities to strengthen Reno County, Kansas, communities. Previously, she was assistant director of the nonprofit literary organization Hub City Writers Project in Spartanburg, SC, where she edited and marketed award-winning books, co-founded a statewide film festival, and practiced community-building and placemaking. In 2013, Mailloux co-founded Talk20 Hutch, a biannual open forum for the exchange of ideas. Herboard service includes Young Professionals of Reno County, Kansas Association for Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health, City of Hutchinson Public Art Design Council, and City of Hutchinson Tree Board. Mailloux is participating in the Aspen Ideas Festival as a 2019 Scholar.
