Katara Willis
Student; Second Place Winner, 2019 August Wilson Monologue Competition
Katara Willis is a young artist from Buffalo, NY, where she attended the Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts and has been studying theatre arts since the seventh grade. Throughout her time at BAVPA, she has been cast in several plays, including performances at Subversive Theatre and film work with WNED. Willis was the second-place national winner of the 2019 August Wilson Monologue Competition, after receiving first place in the Buffalo region. In June 2019, she graduated from high school with plans to attend Canisius College to study communications.
