Katherine Gehl is a business leader, entrepreneur, and political innovation activist. She is co-chair of the National Association of Non-Partisan Reformers, a board member of Unite America, and in 2018 co-founded Democracy Found, a Wisconsin-based initiative dedicated to implementing top-four primaries and ranked-choice voting in general elections through state legislation. In 2016, Gehl invited Harvard Business School’s Michael Porter to join her work; they published the results of their research and analysis in a report, Why Competition in the Politics Industry Is Failing America: A Strategy for Reinvigorating Our Democracy. She sold Gehl Foods, where she was president and CEO, in 2015 to dedicate more of her time to political reform.
