Kevin Churchwell

Kevin B. Churchwell is president and CEO of Boston Children’s Hospital. Churchwell joined Boston Children’s as executive vice president of health affairs and chief operating officer in 2013. Previously, he was CEO of Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, DE, and CEO of Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. In all of these roles he has brought a passion for enhancing patient/employee safety and the patient family experience. An advocate for equity, diversity, and inclusivity, Churchwell has committed to making Boston Children’s a community made stronger by differences and a leader in equity for all. He is currently associate professor of pediatric anesthesia and the Robert and Dana Smith Associate Professor of Anesthesia at Harvard Medical School.
