Khalid Latif is executive director of the Islamic Center and university chaplain at New York University. He’s an NYPD chaplain and co-founder of Honest Chops and the Muslim Wedding Service. NYU’s and Princeton’s first Muslim chaplain, Latif served on Mayor De Blasio’s transition team and the city public advocate’s Combat Hate task force. He co-founded NYU’s Of Many Institute, where he’s a senior fellow and co-teaches a course on multifaith leadership. Profiled in the film Of Many, Latif has been featured in media outlets and honored as a Global Interfaith Visionary by the UN Temple of Understanding, as a Christian Science Monitor 30 Under 30, and with NYU’s 2017 MLK Humanitarian Award, among others.
